Amazing place to stay we loved having a little kitchen to make breakfast every morning to start our day. So close to the beach, food, & shopping we walked around and really soaked in all we could.

Close walk to food, mall, amenities and beach. About a 8 min walk to Waikiki beach. Although I was out right across from the elevators, it was not as loud as I thought it was gonna be. Each stay I’ve been there, it was peaceful inside from other tenants.

The rooms were a pretty decent size for what we paid, amenities were amazing! We had everything we needed. Water fountain downstairs, complimentary tea and coffee and a free snack pack everyday which had enough food for 2 people. We chose this hotel as it was a cheaper option compared to other hotels and I was really happy with all the bonus stuff we got for staying here. The pool was nice and cool and not crowded most days so you can relax in it. I loved out balcony too, we had an amesome view from the 16th floor and spent alot of time out there.

I liked the mini kitchen with stove, mini fridge , sink. I did request a microwave which was awesome, as we did not used the stove. Maybe some sort of wooden board could be placed over the stove for the microwave or a shelf built over the stove for a microwave to be included in the room. We liked the coffee but more coffee pods could have been given as well as more tea bags. I did ask for more. We also loved the snack packs given daily. We also thought maybe a morning buffet for guests might be arranged in the morning at the lava tube restaurant for guests. The beds mattress could be updated as well as the pillows. The shower pressure is great and always hot water. We loved the fact of a laundry trolley left in the hallway to add out our room towels. The service from your staff attending our room and our questions was great. The room was adequate for our 9 night stay. We loved the location but wondered why the buildings next to the lava tube restaurant was not taken down. It made the area look a bit scary or undesired. This hotel is great for walking distance to the beach, the stores, the international market, Dukes market, restaurants, busses. We also liked Nickie for questions about tours around the island. She was helpful and never pushed us to buy tours. Very knowledgeable. Her co-worker Doug filled in for her on her one day off. We booked a tour with him. However they do not share commission so please stick with one person. She had mentioned she is available even on her day off. We didn’t call her as there was time constraints and we thought Doug would have told us to call her also then she would continue to get her commissions but he was helpful in our next tour however they do not share the commissions. We did not try out the pool as we went to the beach. But we were happy we had a choice pool or beach. We loved our stay at Ohio Waikiki and would recommend this hotel to everyone. We love the Location (a minute walk to waikiki strip) and the staff. The view of mountain combined with ocean and the city is lovely specially at top floors. Despite the dated facilities and rooms, the staff hospitality made up for it and made it a pleasurable stay. Kalia, the front desk personnel, was very pleasant, helpful, and accommodating.
